Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Angry Cat by TIDE was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,623.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by TIDE achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work TWO OF US in July last year with an auction result of HKD 655,200.00 (€ 81,755.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Angry Cat von TIDE wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.623,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von TIDE erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit TWO OF US im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 655.200,00 (€ 81.755,50).
