Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Autour de William Hogarth by Tibor Csernus for EUR 5,760.00. This price was achieved in the auction COLLECTION PATRICE TRIGANO, ITINERAIRE D'UNE PASSION at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tibor Csernus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hungarian Untitled in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 71,550.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Autour de William Hogarth von Tibor Csernus für EUR 5.760,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion COLLECTION PATRICE TRIGANO, ITINERAIRE D'UNE PASSION bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tibor Csernus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hungarian Untitled im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.550,00.
