Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with mountain lake and water mill by Thorald Brendstrup was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 133.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thorald Brendstrup achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa Poniatowski, Rome in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,495.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with mountain lake and water mill von Thorald Brendstrup im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 133,99) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thorald Brendstrup erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villa Poniatowski, Rome im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.495,62).
