Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,955.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Woolner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Roundel Of Alfred, Lord Tennyson in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,526.86).
