Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,066.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Whitcombe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of St. Helier, Jersey, with Elizabeth Castle beyond in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,500.00 (€ 190,278.72).
