In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Roses, tulips, peonies, grapes, lemons and butterflies, with a roemer on a ledge; and Roses, grapes, peaches, thistles and corn, with a roemer on a ledge sold for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,258.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Webster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maternal Affection in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Webster auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maternal Affection im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 23.422,91).
