This artwork by Thomas Webster achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2005. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work An impressive still life of flowers on a stone ledge sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,191.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternal Affection in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Webster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternal Affection im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 23.422,91).
