Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Youth and age by Thomas Webster was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,683.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternal Affection in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).

Die Arbeit Youth and age von Thomas Webster kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.683,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Webster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternal Affection im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 23.422,91).
