Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Grab von Lu Xun Shanghai, 1997 by Thomas Struth. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,050.00 (€ 21,874.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Struth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pantheon, Rome in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,810,000.00 (€ 1,646,352.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grab von Lu Xun Shanghai, 1997 von Thomas Struth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.050,00 (€ 21.874,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Struth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pantheon, Rome im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.810.000,00 (€ 1.646.352,56).
