Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Shotter Boys could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Out of Office: Art that Transports auction, the work Castletown, Isle of Man; and an unidentified pedimented English mansion, probably Chester Terrace, Regent’s Park, under construction changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,064.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Shotter Boys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pavillon de Flore, Tuileries, Paris in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,169.87).
