Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Shotter Boys could be acquired at Christies in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Rathaus from Old Town Square, Prague changed hands for GBP 11,000.00 (€ 12,940.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Shotter Boys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Pavillon de Flore, Tuileries, Paris, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,169.87).
