Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work "Morning" Hastings Beach by Thomas Rose Miles. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,229.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Rose Miles have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Morning" Hastings Beach von Thomas Rose Miles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.229,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Rose Miles auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44).
