In October 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work 'Squally Weather: Blackgang of the Catherines', Isle of Wight by Thomas Rose Miles. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,265.80), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Rose Miles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Squally Weather: Blackgang of the Catherines', Isle of Wight von Thomas Rose Miles zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.265,80) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Rose Miles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44).
