The work Squally Weather, Pegwell Bay, Kent by Thomas Rose Miles was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in June 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,718.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Rose Miles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).
