Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The wishing well by Thomas Reynolds Lamont was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in London in September 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 564.00 (€ 943.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Reynolds Lamont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bell Ringers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,948.72).
