Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work At the opera by Thomas Reynolds Lamont for GBP 717.00 (€ 1,073.28). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Reynolds Lamont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bell Ringers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,948.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit At the opera von Thomas Reynolds Lamont für GBP 717,00 (€ 1.073,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Reynolds Lamont erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bell Ringers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.948,72).
