Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale - Property of the Late Monty Lewis, removed from Hyver Manor & Property of the Late Dr. William Lindsaygordon, which included the work Unknown by Thomas Redmond. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 539.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Redmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,432.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale - Property of the Late Monty Lewis, removed from Hyver Manor & Property of the Late Dr. William Lindsaygordon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Thomas Redmond zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 539,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Redmond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.432,19).
