Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Pollock Anshutz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Morning Mist changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,924.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Pollock Anshutz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman Writing At A Table, which sold at auction in March 2010 for USD 40,625.00 (€ 30,034.75).
