Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Highland landscape with figures conversing by a horse-drawn cart (illustrated); and Keswick, the Lake District by Thomas Miles Richardson Sen. was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,343.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Miles Richardson Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Newcastle from the River Tyne, with shipping in the foreground in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 44,650.00 (€ 71,127.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.343,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Miles Richardson Sen. erzielen.
