A top price for Thomas McKnight - as previously expected
The work Brancusi's Studio by Thomas McKnight was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,767.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Brancusi's Studio is the most expensive artwork by Thomas McKnight that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Brancusi's Studio von Thomas McKnight kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.767,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Brancusi's Studio das teuerste Kunstwerk von Thomas McKnight, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
