A top price for Thomas Mackay - as previously expected
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original, which included the work Feeding the ducks; and Gathering the hay (illustrated) by Thomas Mackay. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,528.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Feeding the ducks; and Gathering the hay (illustrated) is the most expensive artwork by Thomas Mackay that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.673,00 (€ 2.528,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00.
