Artwork auctioned at three times the pre-set estimate
When the work The Pellet by Thomas Lerooy was auctioned at VAN HAM in June 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 10,965.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Lerooy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Petit Jean sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,822.37).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit The Pellet von Thomas Lerooy im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 10.965,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thomas Lerooy; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Petit Jean im Februar 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.822,37).
