Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The two families, Sark by Thomas James Lloyd was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,677.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas James Lloyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work August, At Wembury Near Plymouth in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 13,125.00 (€ 14,892.94).
