Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,193.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hewes Hinckley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The End of The Day: A Pointer And Setter With Game And A Shotgun At The Edge of A Wood, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 102,000.00 (€ 75,443.79).
