Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Homewards by Thomas Corsan Morton was sold in the The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street auction at Sothebys in London in February 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,895.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Corsan Morton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The gypsy caravan, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 4,063.00 (€ 5,847.77).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Homewards von Thomas Corsan Morton wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.895,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
