Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pointers On Alert by Thomas Blinks was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,547.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Blinks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waiting For The Guns in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 564,000.00 (€ 417,159.76).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.547,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Blinks erzielen.
