However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Bardwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Francis Scott, Earl of Dalkeith (1721-1750), half-length, in Hussar uniform, in a feigned oval, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,691.62).
