Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale, which included the work French La Leçon by Théophile Duverger. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,734.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Théophile Duverger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blowing bubbles, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 30,550.00 (€ 34,426.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French La Leçon von Théophile Duverger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.734,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Théophile Duverger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blowing bubbles beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 30.550,00 (€ 34.426,41) versteigert wurde.
