Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Théophile Émile Achille de Bock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Avondschemer in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 32,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit By The Windmill von Théophile Émile Achille de Bock kam im März 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Théophile Émile Achille de Bock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Avondschemer im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 32.900,00.
