Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Study Of A Head; And Female Figure Walking Down A Staircase by Théodule Ribot. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 812.00 (€ 1,045.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodule Ribot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La gourde vide (Die leere Flasche). in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 200,000.00.

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of A Head; And Female Figure Walking Down A Staircase von Théodule Ribot zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 812,00 (€ 1.045,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théodule Ribot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La gourde vide (Die leere Flasche). im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 200.000,00.
