In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Busy Kitchen by Théodule Ribot. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,793.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodule Ribot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La gourde vide (Die leere Flasche). in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 200,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Busy Kitchen von Théodule Ribot zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.793,02) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théodule Ribot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La gourde vide (Die leere Flasche). im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 200.000,00.
