Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Okiku-san, Yokohama by Theodore Wores for USD 24,225.00 (€ 23,467.02). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Wores achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinese Musicians in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 483,000.00 (€ 426,565.40).
