Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Cypress Point, Monterey, California by Theodore Wores for USD 12,575.00 (€ 10,535.36). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Wores achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinese Musicians in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 483,000.00 (€ 426,565.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cypress Point, Monterey, California von Theodore Wores für USD 12.575,00 (€ 10.535,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Wores erzielen.
