Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Sous-bois by Théodore Rousseau. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,560.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodore Rousseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le chêne de roche in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 413,430.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sous-bois von Théodore Rousseau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.560,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théodore Rousseau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le chêne de roche im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 413.430,99).
