Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Writing To A Loved One by Théodore Gérard. The price achieved of EUR 4,780.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Théodore Gérard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The young artist in October 2002 with an auction result of EUR 41,825.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Writing To A Loved One von Théodore Gérard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.780,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Théodore Gérard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The young artist im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 41.825,00.
