In the European Art Online | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Children Bathing in a Stream framed 58.5 x 50.5 x 7 cm (23 x 19 7/8 x 2 3/4 in). sold for USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,114.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodore Gérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The young artist in October 2002 with an auction result of EUR 41,825.00.
