Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work The mischief maker by Théodore Gérard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,862.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Théodore Gérard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The young artist, which sold at auction in October 2002 for EUR 41,825.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The mischief maker von Théodore Gérard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.862,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Théodore Gérard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The young artist beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für EUR 41.825,00 versteigert wurde.
