In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A courtyard in the Alhambra, Granada by Theodor Josef Ethofer. The price achieved of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,671.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00.
