Estimate exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Theodor Josef Ethofer achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in May 2014. In the Alte Kunst auction, the work Junge Frau mit Krug sold for EUR 2,967.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodor Josef Ethofer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A courtyard in the Alhambra, Granada, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,671.11).

Für andere Arbeiten von Theodor Josef Ethofer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A courtyard in the Alhambra, Granada beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.671,11) versteigert wurde.
