Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Square Composition by Theodore Mendez. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 1,024.82). Admittedly, works by Theodore Mendez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grey Composition in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,632.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Square Composition von Theodore Mendez zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 812,50 (€ 1.024,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodore Mendez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grey Composition im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.632,08).
