This artwork by Theo Kurpershoek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2000. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Stilleven met maiskolven sold for NLG 7,957.36 (€ 3,385.24) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theo Kurpershoek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonjour Mme K., which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 29,255.00 (€ 12,445.75).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Theo Kurpershoek erzielte im März 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Stilleven met maiskolven für NLG 7.957,36 (€ 3.385,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 4.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Theo Kurpershoek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonjour Mme K. beobachtet, die im März 2000 für NLG 29.255,00 (€ 12.445,75) versteigert wurde.
