Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 5,400.00 (€ 2,784.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thea Proctor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Pair Of Watercolours, A Day By The Beach And A Day By The River (2), which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 9,600.00 (€ 5,740.58).
