Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Portrait Of Lady Lloyd Jones by Thea Proctor was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2008. The price achieved of AUD 5,400.00 (€ 2,784.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thea Proctor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Pair Of Watercolours, A Day By The Beach And A Day By The River (2), which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 9,600.00 (€ 5,740.58).

Die Arbeit Australian Portrait Of Lady Lloyd Jones von Thea Proctor wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.400,00 (€ 2.784,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
