with the arms of the Gondola (Argent, three palets azure, a fesse gules, lower left) and Salvetti (Argent, a bull rampant gules) families (on plinth, lower left and right respectively)

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna and Child with Saints Anthony Abbot and Catherine of Alexandria, The Crucifixion above by The Master 'Francesco' was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 47,326.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by The Master 'Francesco' have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Coronation of The Virgin, with Saints Nicholas of Bari, Anthony Abbot, John the Baptist, Francis of Assisi, Phillip and Zanobi in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,000.00 (€ 267,341.55).
