In November this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Hydra by Thanos Tsingos. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 25,600.00 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thanos Tsingos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Flowers On A Blue Background, which sold at auction in November 2009 for GBP 73,250.00 (€ 80,162.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hydra von Thanos Tsingos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 25.600,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thanos Tsingos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Flowers On A Blue Background beobachtet, die im November 2009 für GBP 73.250,00 (€ 80.162,68) versteigert wurde.
