In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Flowers On A Blue Background by Thanos Tsingos. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 80,162.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Greek Flowers On A Blue Background is the most expensive artwork by Thanos Tsingos that we have observed at auctions so far.
