Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Man And Lady by Tew Nai Tong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,190.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Tew Nai Tong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2015 the work Malay Couple was auctioned for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,756.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man And Lady von Tew Nai Tong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.190,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tew Nai Tong konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2015 die Arbeit Malay Couple für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.756,05) versteigert.
