This artwork by Tetsutaro Kamatani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Proliferation- Metal sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,864.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tetsutaro Kamatani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Human Paradise II-bird,, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 367,500.00 (€ 32,126.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tetsutaro Kamatani erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Proliferation- Metal für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.864,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tetsutaro Kamatani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Human Paradise II-bird, beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 367.500,00 (€ 32.126,23) versteigert wurde.
