Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Section by Terry Winters was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 637.50 (€ 608.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terry Winters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Graphic Primitives 1 in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 178,398.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Section von Terry Winters kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 637,50 (€ 608,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terry Winters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Graphic Primitives 1 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 178.398,87).
