Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Black Prince by Terence Cuneo was auctioned at Christies in New York in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,400.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Terence Cuneo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Lickey Incline, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 69,600.00 (€ 102,751.45).

Die Arbeit The Black Prince von Terence Cuneo kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.400,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Terence Cuneo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Lickey Incline beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 69.600,00 (€ 102.751,45) versteigert wurde.
