Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Ffestiniog Workhorses by Terence Cuneo. The price achieved of GBP 35,840.00 (€ 41,530.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Terence Cuneo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Lickey Incline, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 69,600.00 (€ 102,751.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ffestiniog Workhorses von Terence Cuneo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.840,00 (€ 41.530,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Terence Cuneo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Lickey Incline beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 69.600,00 (€ 102.751,45) versteigert wurde.
